Asseco Hungary is the consortium partner of Agit FIEK

As a result of a strategic R&D&I cooperation, Szent István University and its partners in the consortium will create an Agro-Informatics Center for Higher Education and Cooperation (AGIT FIEK) in Gödöllő, to which the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund grants non-refundable subsidy of HUF 1.482.127.690.

Within the framework of a 4-year long project, launched in January 2017, a long-term and sustainable industrial-higher education cooperation will be implemented with the following consortium partners: SKC-Consulting Kft., Axiál Repair, Trade and Service Ltd., ASSECO Central Europe Hungary Ltd., ENERGOTEST Kft.

Description of the project: As a result of a strategic R&D&I cooperation, Szent István University and its partners in the consortium will create an Agro-Informatics Center for Higher Education and Cooperation (AGIT FIEK) in Gödöllő.
The project focuses on three areas of expertise:

– improvement (compatibility) and increase of the volume of on-board IT networks
-Creation of digital Production System (DPS), development of new IT-based agrarian mechatronics systems, data collection and advanced algorithms (machine learning) based processing.

-FIEK infrastructure development, setting up a research and educational space

Planned completion of the project: December 31, 2021
Szent István University as an educational institution with its largest agricultural research capabilities, carries out high-level R&D&I assignments covering all areas of agriculture.

The University is capable of accomplishing this task in cooperation with a major agricultural system integrator and a number of leading IT development companies.

Following the project closure, the market value of the technologies developed within the frame of the main project elements will ensure the sustainability of the Agro-Informatics Center.

The Center’s knowledge transfer function can also contribute to this which can provide the basis for the education, vocational and dual training of the University.
